GIS Partial Discharge On-line Detector M600

Though GIS is maintenance-free equipment, there are still insulation failures during its actual running which cause severe loss and serious effect. GIS partial discharge on-line detection is helpful to reduce and avoid such kind of failures.

Do we need to maintain GIS when it reaches its specified maintenance-free service life? And how?  PD on-line detection based insulation status maintenance is an ideal choice.

It is always hard to proceed with regular PD on-line detection after GIS site installation and maintenance, due to the site condition limitations, and this leaves serious regrets on insulation examination.

GIS PD Introduction

Applying the technique of UHF sensing (UHF: 0.3-3 GHz), PD On-line Detection Locator GIS M600 enables detecting and locating the source of PD activity on GIS running conditions or GIS Power-Frequency Withstand Voltage Test conditions (voltage applied to PD test voltage), to find insulation defects timely and avoid insulation failure. 

       

This handheld battery-powered instrument is convenient for regular perambulation and detection; This IPC based handheld instrument is quipped with four sensors; it locates the source of PD activity by using two sensors to measure signal time-delay, and allows testing time setting to automatically deal with PD on-line detection.
